Anderson House – The Society of the Cincinnati 2118 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20008 Simply stated, the Anderson House is one of DC’s most luxurious event venues. This grand mansion was built in 1905 to rival the splendor and magnificence of European capital buildings. Intended to hold extravagant social galas and impress diplomats from around the world, this incredible mansion includes ornate wood carvings, marble floors, and golden accents. On the exterior, several reflecting pools, stone fountains, and lush gardens create an idyllic space to catch a breath of fresh air while brilliant lighting illuminates the grand architecture. At night, the estate looks like a royal palace. Inside, huge painted murals reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel cover the walls and ceiling with their mesmerizing beauty! Italian artwork and architecture abound. We could spend days exploring and photographing all fifty ornate rooms. The event planning team from Hosts DC know exactly how to take a large guest list and still make the event feel intimate. They expertly designed and decorated two endless banquet tables for a formal dinner while adding smaller, well-spaced tables for cocktails throughout the mansion. We were amazed by their flawless execution, and the soft lighting made the event feel even more exclusive for guests to chat comfortably while they took in the grandeur of it all. If you are looking for a luxurious, historic venue to hold your next formal dinner or event, the Anderson House is sure to impress every guest. Our team loves every opportunity we get to document memorable moments at this stunning venue, and it would be our pleasure to photograph your next event! We also want to give a shout out to all of the phenomenal event professionals who contributed to creating such an incredible experience: Duran Floral Design – https://www.duranfloraldesign.com/ Grand Cuisine – https://www.grandcuisinedc.com/ FROST DC – https://www.frostdc.com/ The post Anderson House – The Society of the Cincinnati | Washington DC Event Photographers appeared first on Event Photojournalism. via Blog – Event Photojournalism https://eventphotojournalism.com/anderson-house-the-society-of-the-cincinnati-washington-dc-event-photographers/

DC Event Photographers at The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture4/8/2019 This event was held at the National Museum of African American History & Culture, which is one of the many wonderful (and newest!) Smithsonian museums around DC. National Museum of African American History & Culture 1400 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20560 Special Event Information From the outside, the building consists of three huge trapezoidal prisms stacked on top of each other. Intricate, delicate patterns that you can almost see through make up the sides of the structure – certainly not a building you just step into without a second glance. Capturing both the exterior and interior to portray its unique style and architecture is a joy! On the inside, a modern staircase winds its way through the central atrium like a dual-purpose piece of art. We loved photographing it by itself, but it was so much more fun to see all of the guests making their way up the artful steps. Wow! Big kudos to the event planning team from Capital City Events who designed this evening to remember. The event was held in Heritage Hall with an incredible view of the National Monument from the back wall of windows. This hall is one of the most popular event spaces because of the view as well as easy access to all of the other galleries in the museum. Capital City Events created such a warm yet exquisite feel with deep orange, shimmering linens and classic white floral centerpieces. The event was set up perfectly for guests to mix and mingle comfortably while enjoying the delicious food from Occasions Caterers. Everything looked simply flawless. Our team at Event Photojournalism loved having the opportunity to capture this magnificent design and all of the hard work that contributing event professionals poured into making this evening event truly exceptional! DC is filled with talented, creative minds and stunning venues to host just about any event imaginable, and we’d love to be there to capture it all for you! Mellon Auditorium. Project HOPE hosts an annual fundraising gala each year, and in 2018, the former First Lady Mrs. Laura Bush was the keynote speaker. We were captivated by her speech, and our team loved documenting this historic experience. About Project HOPE: Project HOPE is an international health care organization founded in the United States in 1958. The organization strives to support local health care workers across the globe who are facing health challenges such as natural disasters, epidemics, or lack of resources and staff. They help with everything from infectious diseases to maternal and neonatal care. With 60 years of experience, they have raised $3.1 billion and trained over 1 million health care workers! Learn more about the organization and their mission at https://www.projecthope.org/. About the Venue: This stunning venue was fit to serve such an honorary event. The Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium is a 750-seat historic Neoclassical auditorium located front and center along Constitution Avenue. The magnificent auditorium displays its gorgeous architecture as a focal point connecting two wings of the William Jefferson Clinton Federal Building. True to the name, the acoustics were perfect for this annual gala featuring a speaker. About the Event: Teresa Lee of Rex and Regina Events coordinated this event with flawless design. With more than twenty years of experience, she has worked with many nonprofit organizations to host events that fit their goals and mission. Her events are aimed to impact and inspire guests through her meticulous style and award-winning design, and we were wowed by her work once again. Much talent and care went into planning such a phenomenal experience. Thank you to all of these event professionals who helped make it happen: Event Emissary – eventemissary.com The post Washington DC Gala Event Photographers at The Andrew W Mellon Auditorium appeared first on Event Photojournalism. via Blog – Event Photojournalism https://eventphotojournalism.com/washington-dc-gala-event-photographers-at-the-andrew-w-mellon-auditorium/ |
